In 2019 I found some old Word documents with movie reviews I wrote back before I had a blog. I’m posting each review backdated to the day I wrote it.

Alright, so I’m drinking with friends and some says “Hey, why don’t we go see How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days?” We’re all buzzing so it seems like a good idea. Well, about halfway through this movie I sobered up. This movie starts out with me wondering how can I be expected to believe that these people can be so shallow. Then the middle part is silly and fun and worth the belly laughs, even if built on stale sterotypes of gender. The finale is banal Hollywood happy ending and really could have been improved by rolling the credits earlier. Kate Hudson, like often happened to Goldie Hawn, seems stuck in a movie that seems beneath her talents, but also like her mother does a good job of being funny by showing that she’s really having fun.
