Comments: Usually a cask-conditioned ale at Bukowski’s is a special treat, but not this time. The Smuttynose Shoals Pale Ale sure looked good, a nice cloudy golden color with a thick head that sustained even after a few sips leaving traces of Brussels lace along the inside of the glass. But the taste is bitter, bitter, bitter. I mean there is good bitter in beer, but this is just awfully bitter with an acrid aroma. Not a happy treat at all.
